Fan Tan

Setup: sit in a circle and select a dealer. The dealer will deal out the entire deck evenly to all players.

Playing the game: Everyone will ante by placing one chip in the center of the table. The player to the left of the dealer begins by playing a seven in the middle (if they have one). The next player (going clockwise) must build off the 7 either by placing another 7 above or below it or by placing a 6 or 8 of the same suit on either side of it. The game continues with players adding cards that are of the same suit and consecutive to either side of an existing card, or the same number above or below the corresponding card already in play. If a player cannot go they must place an additional chip in the middle. Whichever player runs out of cards first takes all the chips in the middle.
